John Emberly announced as Kombi Factory Team Manager

Professional freeskier and nine year Kombi Team factory rider, John Emberly has added on the new role of Kombi Factory Team Manager. Emberly’s passion and dedication to the sport, culture, and lifestyle of freeskiing has made him a natural fit for a brand that prides itself on quality, innovation, and radition since 1961. I see my new role as a challenge, one that will allow me to work directly with other Kombi riders to develop and create the most dominant product and factory team in the industry. My goal is to look for riders who full on charge on and off the snow; Riders who share the same passion and love for the sport that I do who can help lead the brand into the future.

Emberly, is currently finishing up his segment with Darkside Productions for their new flick, Better than Pretty Good, to be released this vember. He explains his future attention and direction will be more on the filming and less on competition is excited with the possibilities the future will bring with his new role as manager. I feel Kombi has the potential to explode. We have some great riders on our current team not to mention our new team updates coming this fall. I’m stoked to ride, chill, and work with developing new product designs and flavour. Kombi is an amazing brand with really supportive and great people working behind the scenes. My role and our team will bring it the respect and attention it rightfully deserves.

JON EMEBERY IN MAMMOTH, CA.

Just got back from Cali yesterday. Mammoth was sick as usual….massive tables and ill rails. Wiskey Creek shinanigans took the cake. I got some amazing shots for my next year’s segment and some pretty sick still shots. We had two days of blue bird and some pretty heavy snow which drove us into the trees and back country to film for a few days. I have high res shots of all these pics too if needed. I’m home this weekend (surf’s up and shooting some urban) and then off to the BC interior to film Feb 15-25th. So stoked! Hope all is chill on your front.

JOHN EMBERLY COMPETES IN HALIFAX URBAN RAIL JAM

Here are some shots of the weekend Urban Rail Comp in downtown Halifax. I made it to the finals but didn’t take home 1st. A snowboarder from Quebec won the big cash. Sick comp though; thousands came out to watch and the party went until 5 am. Next weekend I’m in a the Redbull Headwall Horror Show…it’s a slopestyle in a big mountain setting. My style of comp! I’m also off to Mammoth to film at the end of January with Darkside Productions. Stoked! Hope all is chill.
