ROS G. PLACES 3RD JUSTIN DOREY PULLS IN 4TH @ JEEP “48 Straight” IN SQUWA VLLEY, CA
Under sunny skies Rosalind Groenewoud was throwing down some 900s and 720s as well. She qualified 2nd for the super-final, and ended up in the 3rd place position. This marks her second podium appearance in the last 2 weeks, after earning a 3rd place at the US Freeskiing Open in Copper Mt. last weekend.
On the men’s side, Justin Dorey was on fire, going absolutely massive, and linking some unbelievably technical combinations. His final run was looking destined for the podium until a missed hit near the end of run put him on the deck, and in the end he finished in 4th place.
Matt Hayward was unable to compete due to a rib injury sustained in training on Saturday.
The team is now off to Japan for a World Cup event followed by the Nippon Freeskiing open.
