Blue Mountain, ON – Dave Fortin rolled into town for the TELUS Triple Challenge weekend and came away with the big prize of $3500 for first place in Saturday night’s Big Air event. Easily the biggest draw for the three-day event, the big air was a crowd favorite, taking place at the base of Blue Mountain in front of hundreds of fans.

It was a big win for Fortin, who took it with a huge Frontside 10. He and Kevin Konings, whose Back 10 was good enough for second place, had been creating tons of tension by attempting 12’s but their 10s were bigger and cleaner. Mike Osachuk, another out-of-town pro who showed up to claim a piece of the $25,000 prizing pie, stomped a Double Back 180, after a gnarly crash earlier had many wondering if he was done for the night. Beau Bishop and Ryan Caesar were also in contention for third before Osachuk got his trick. They both had super clean 9s and were trying 10s, but couldn’t make them happen.

The Dew Tour wrapped up this weekend at the Northstar Resort in Tahoe. The Kombi Factory Team cleaned up in the Freeski events.

Here’s a few photos from my recent trip up Grizzly gultch, a party photo with my name on the keg cup, thought it was kinda greasy… first backy of the season. Signing posters at Fat Flakes Festival in SLC, little kid holding one of my posters. Skate session on the 4frnt mini ramp.

So ya just been hitting up the bird and alta getting ready for the season to start. We got dumped on a few weeks ago and the snow has held good even till now. Going to Jackson Hole for a Snow Science Course given by Sage, J Jones, and Dean Conway. Then off to CO for some park training before I head into the BC to start shooting.

The result are in from Peak Performance - King of Style comp this weekend in Sweden two of Kombi’s riders dominated the line up with PK Hunder taking 1st & Jon Olsson taking a close second and Oscar Scherlin taking 12th. However missing from the list or anywhere on the Winter Jam site is Tom Wallisch, I’m curious as to what has happened there?! Once I find out I will let you guys know and post it here.
